Nordic skiing is a no cut winter sport. Everyone who practices participates in the meets
Dry-land Nordic practices are scheduled from 4pm-6pm Monday-Friday. Practices alternate between Jordan High School and Belle Plaine High School. Jordan athletes a shuttle will pick you up at 3:30 at the Jordan Middle School on Belle Plaine practice days. Belle Plaine athletes please join our carpool list if you need a ride to Jordan practices.
Man-made snow practices take place at Three Rivers parks, athletes will be bussed to these practices. Practice times at the parks vary between 4pm-6pm and 6pm-8pm this is in addition to bussing time. An updated schedule will be provided weekly via email.
We teach you how to skate ski (freestyle) and how to classic ski
New skiers will be able to watch meets until they feel comfortable to participate in a meet
Equipment needed to participate
- Combi boots with NNN binding
- Skates skis and skate poles
- Classic skis and classic poles
Rental Package via the Team
- $150 per season includes ski bag and both sets of skates & classic ski
- Athletes will be responsible for repair or replacements of damaged skis
- A small amount of boots & poles will be available for rental for $20 on the first Tuesday of practice
- Must provide your skier’s weight to reserve a ski rental package
